Bayview Bridge Closing

The Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay is closing today, March 4th, for maintenance. It is anticipated to re-open by July 4th, this year.

The closing of the bridge will result in a detour through Sturgeon Bay, over the Michigan Street Bridge for drivers heading to locations North of Sturgeon Bay. Southbound drivers (from Sister Bay, Egg Harbor, Jacksonport, etc.) are being detoured on Egg Harbor Road, to 3rd Avenue & then onto the Michigan Street Bridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for all those tourists, who would normally bypass Sturgeon Bay, to become acquainted (or re-acquainted) with Sturgeon Bay. This is also an excellent opportunity for Sturgeon Bay businesses to show off our shops, restaurants, B&B's and other attractions.

Scofield House B&B is right on the detour route, at 908 Michigan Street, and we plan to put our "best foot forward," so to speak. We also want to remind everyone that there is going to be a lot more traffic in town this summer and to be on alert to avoid any mishaps.
