Fine Arts Fair Is Soon Approaching

Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair will once again be THE thing to do on Memorial Day Weekend! As one of the first-of-the-season outdoor shows, the Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair is part of Door County's month-long "Festival of Blossoms." The fair will be open Saturday May 26 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday May 27 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This juried art show features original works of nearly 90 Wisconsin & Midwest artists in a wide variety of media including sculpture, painting, jewelry, ceramics, fiber and photography; and all artwork is for sale.

An exciting addition to the Sturgeon Bay fine Art fair this year will be the presence of a Sculpture Garden. At the center of the art fair there will be a garden-like setting to showcase the work of some of the three dimensional artists in the fair. The aim is to highlight outdoor artwork and assist the art fair visitor to better visualize the object in its own natural spaces.

No fair is complete without entertainment! Strolling entertainers both days will include violinist Dan Ognavic and clown/magician TC Hatter! And local favorites Randi Fay will be playing soft jazz and some blues from 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, and John Giovanni Contratto will be playing 11:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. A variety of food items and beverages will be available all weekend. The very popular “artwork raffle” will again be part of the activities and will feature a large selection of items from art fair participants.
